In the video recording of theater performances, concerts, readings, etc., several cameras are of course used. Using the multi-camera method, we realize the video recording of the stage performance from many different perspectives. Remote-controlled cameras are used. The cameras are controlled from a central point with regard to zoom, sharpness and alignment. 5 and more cameras can be operated by a single person. Additional cameramen are not necessary.

Through working as a video journalist for many years, I was able to gain relevant experience in this area. Over the years, several hundred video reports and TV features have been researched, filmed, edited and broadcast on television. The researched topics as well as the locations were very different and varied. The topics ranged from current news and information to cultural and sporting events, social events and much more. Depending on the assignment, several cameras are also used for interviews, discussion events and roundtables. Two cameras are sometimes sufficient if the questioner is not to be shown in the picture in interviews with only one person. More than two cameras are always necessary when it comes to interviews and conversations with several people. Depending on whether it is an event with an audience, remote-controlled cameras can also be used here. The time required can be reduced if the video recordings are conversations and interviews without an audience.

Of course, recording events, concerts, theater performances, talks, etc. on video is only half the battle. After video recording, video editing is the logical next step in video production. The audio tracks or soundtracks must be viewed and adjusted when the video material is edited. A complete video production includes the creation and integration of logos, blurbs and, if necessary, additional image, text and video material. USB sticks, memory cards and hard drives have a limited shelf life. Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs lack electronic components. Thus, these potential weak points and causes for data loss are missing. Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs for music and video are therefore the first choice as a souvenir, as a gift or for sale.
